Can I connect my Baha 5 Sound Processor to PC or TV?

Question: Hi, I was wondering. The Baha 5 Sound Processor comes with Bluetooth Connectivity to iPhones and Phone Clips for Android Phones. Does this also mean there is a way for me to connect to other Bluetooth devices such as a PC or TV? // Luka

Answer: Dear Luka,

You are right, the Baha 5 Sound Processor comes with built in Bluetooth connectivity to iPhone and iPad. This will connect you directly to the Apple device with no need for extra accessories. This works with iOS phones and iPads. You can use the Phone clip to connect to other phones, like Android phones and other Bluetooth devices. Please note that the device you are connecting to has to have the same Bluetooth protocol. Therefore, older devices may not be compatible.

  1. Hi there, I need a bit of help, i work in a contact center in hospitality department, the issue is i’m having, i cannot hear well from the headphones despite the company has purchased Seinheiser headset for me already but I’m still having trouble hearing from them too. i wanted something to connect to baha 5 sound processor via bluetooth, any recommendations for me to connect my baha 5 with the PC computer (window).

  2. Thought I would share after upgrading to the Baha 5. I chatted with Cochlear and was told there was no way to get audio from a 3.5mm jack on a computer or any other device into the Baha 5. I use an I phone, and have the phone clip as well.
I found a Bluetooth device on Amazon called “TaoTronics Wireless Portable Bluetooth Transmitter” which has the 3.5mm pin jack as the input. I paired this with the phone clip and it feeds the computer audio into the Baha. The only oddity I have found so far is that I can’t use the phone clip to raise or lower the volume when it is paired, but the mic mute still works. You can control the volume on the PC so it is not a big deal. I use it at work where I can’t have the speakers playing out loud. It was a great investment at $28.
