Billy Coughlin, UK, lost his hearing in one ear when he was 17, and had gotten used to living life in “mono rather than stereo” – until last month when he was fitted with the magnetic Baha Attract System.
“It’s amazing, I can hear everything,” smiles Billy. “I can tell where sound is coming from and hear smaller sounds that I couldn’t hear before, like footsteps.”
Matthew Trotter, surgeon at the Heartlands Hospital, says:
“People aren’t aware of what’s available… We need to educate the public on what’s available now in hearing implant technology!”
